  On June 6, USITO held the monthly conference call for policy issues. The call was mainly to?seek members¡¯ ideas on USITO¡¯s innovation roundtable: Innovation and Government Procurement. Coming event: Roundtable on Implementing Rules for the Tendering and Bidding Law, June 28
  USITO will hold a roundtable on June 28 from 10:00-12:00 on Implementing Rules for China Bidding and Tendering Law, which will most likely be released by NDRC later this year.Mr. Zhu Jianyuan, President of Chinabidding is to brief the roundtable on the highlights of the rules. June 15-23 - Senior Chinese telecom carrier delegation successfully concludes U.S. visit
 

The Senior Chinese Telecom Carrier Delegation, organized by USITO, has successfully concluded its visit to U.S. The delegation launched extensive dialogues with USITO member company executives, and USITO hosted two roundtables in Chicago and Stanford respectively featuring Delegation. The delegation was sponsored by USITO members companies AT&T, Blackberry, Sybase, Tekelec, Verizon, Anda and Motorola. May 17 - USITO meets with MII Director Huang Jianzhong on China RoHS
On May 17, USITO led 10 representatives from member companies and non-member companies to meet with Mr. Huang Jianzhong, Director in charge of China RoHS. Director Huang briefed the USITO group on the current status of the China RoHS implementation and enforcement, and the USITO group informed Huang the problems that companies have encountered during the implementation. Both sides exchanged a variety of views on the implication of China RoHS upgrading and China's ICT energy efficiency standards formulation.

June 8 - USITO/CNIS meeting on ICT energy efficiency standards
  USITO and its members had a fruitful meeting with China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) on Friday, June 8 at the CNIS office. The meeting was well attended by Chinese officials, standards experts and USITO member companies.
